Well folks, here we go...back in the saddle again! Ready to take on the ups and down of the roller coaster ride that we know all to well as the college soccer season - it is a swirly, twirly ride! So much to say and so little time... it all gets started tonight in North Philadelphia as we head up to LaSalle University and take on the Explorers at 7 pm in McCarthy Stadium.
We had a solid preseason and tested the group against two viable opponents (2-0 win at home against Villanova and a 1-0 loss on the road at Penn State). The games provided some strong insight into our group and showed where we were strong, as well as where we need to continue to work. Not only that, we had some unique experiences from seeing Real Madrid play live in at Lincoln Financial Field to watching the U.S. National Team make history as they won for the first time in Estadio Azteca (that's in Mexico for those that are wondering...and it's like really, really hard to win there...do yourself a google or Wiki search on it), as well as spending some team time at Bald Eagle State Park. We have been going strong for two + weeks now and I know the guys are eager to start making it count.
Please check out the updates on FACEBOOK (Drexel University Men's Soccer) and our website www.drexeldragons.com (season pre-view and Q&A is up, along with a release on our newest Dragon, Goalkeeper Coach Ryan Platt) ...and if you are really up for it, follow us on Twitter (DrexelSoccer).
Weekly updates this season...I promise and video highlights to accompany (we're getting fancy on ya this year). Hope you can get out and see us!
